Fifth Wugong Mountain Intl Camping Festival to kick off

The fifth Wugong Mountain International Camping Festival and the first International Mountain Bike Competition 2012 will kick off in Wanlongshang village, Pingxiang city in Jiangxi province on Sept 14. The three-day festival will be a joyous gathering for backpackers from China.

This year's festival features exciting outdoor contests, popular online activities and generous competition prizes. It will consist of 11 events: a mountain bike race, a gliding show, a weighted hiking activity, a mountain tug-of-war competition, open-air films, an outdoor equipment appraisal, a mountain exploration activity, micro blog interactions, a photography contest and bonfire parties.

More than 5,000 people signed up for the event on the first day of registration on Aug 15. To date, participants have reached nearly 10,000 with competitors for the Mountain Bike Competition exceeding 300.
