Wuyuan establishes low-carbon tourism demonstration area

An evaluation group paid a visit to Wuyuan county, Jiangxi province for inspection and assessment of the low-carbon travel demonstration area established in the county.

After inspection of local scenic spots, the group of experts spoke highly of the county's efforts and work in building the demonstration area. The experts approved the scientific and orderly development of low-carbon tourism and local ecological environment protection.

The All-China Environment Federation and the China Tourism Association have co-sponsored and initiated a large campaign of ecological tours since June 2010. The event aims to promote low-carbon travel in tourist destinations nationwide and establish national low-carbon tourism demonstration areas.
