Jinxian county is currently attracting investment for the Lidu liquor workshop project on a historical site originating from the Yuan Dynasty. The total investment of the project is expected to reach 95 million yuan ($14.91 million). The tourism area is expected to receive up to 200,000 tourists from home and abroad after its completion in 2014.

The tourism project features an integrated historical commercial tourism area covering businesses of catering, entertainment, shopping and recreation. The project includes the building of a Liquor Culture Museum, the reconstruction of a 500-meter-long business street, and the construction of the Lidu Tavern, Lidu tea house, and Lidu Liquor Culture Park.

Lidu town is an old town with a history of nearly one thousand years. The historic Lidu liquor workshop site is considered the earliest ancient liquor workshop site with the most complete historical remains and the longest existence.
