Red tourism gets prosperous as CPC Founding Day approaches

Red tourism has become more and more popular due to the approaching CPC Founding Day, which falls on July 1 this year. Famous revolutionary base areas such as Jiangxi, Hunan, Shaanxi, Shandong and Hebei have continued to attract the attention of tourists.

According to statistics on 17u.cn, telephone consultation and reservations for red tourism increased from mid-June with a year-on-year growth of 1.5 times.

Most of the enquiring tourists intend to go to red tourist areas such as Jinggangshan in Jiangxi, Zunyi conference site, Yan'an, Shajiabang in Changshu, Yimeng Mountain in Shandong, Xibaipo in Hebei and Baise in Guangxi for middle or short trips.

It is estimated that July will see the coming of the peak red tourist season.

Background information

Red tourism refers to the travel to revolutionary sites and monuments after the establishment of the Communist Party of China in 1921. Red tourism is a new form of tourism combining red cultural landscapes and natural scenery, as well as bringing revolutionary education into promoting tourism development.
