Nanchang spends 100 million yuan on zoo reconstruction

The reconstruction of the old zoo in Nanchang recently began. The project, with a total investment of 100 million yuan, will upgrade the existing animal enclosures and build green areas for recreation in the zoo. The project is expected to be completed by 2014.

The total area to be reconstructed will be 8 hectares, including the animal enclosures and green parks. Moreover, an amusement area for children will also be built.

Currently, experts have examined the details of each program and will select the final one after comprehensive considerations have been made. The trees along the roads and underground parking area have been planted.
