In recent years, the increased ecological flourishing of Lushan Mountain has turned it into a paradise of birds. As a result, bird watching ecotourism is emerging at the mountain.

Experts suggested bird watching ecotourism be considered and further developed at the Lushan Mountain. The scenic spot should make efforts to design proper routes for bird watching and use it as a new tourist economic growth point to attract bird lovers over the country and world.

Since 2009, new birds have constantly been found at the Lushan Mountain. Due to high-quality water and the protected ecosystem, as many as 17 birds have been found for the first time. A total of 236 types of birds have been recorded at the Lushan Mountain natural reserve to date.
