Jiangwan town selected as 'National characteristic landscape tourism town'

Eight towns and villages in Jiangxi province were selected among the 'National characteristic landscape tourism towns', according to the Jiangxi Bureau of Housing and Urban-rural Development. Jiangwan town of Wuyuan county was one of the eight.

Since 2009, China has announced 216 national characteristic landscape tourism towns in two batches. Jiangxi province, with eight selected from the province, ranked tenth in terms of the number of selected towns.

The first six are: Jiangwan town of Wuyuan county, Yaoli town of Fuliang county, Geyuan town of Hengfeng county, Daduan town of Tonggu county, Jiajia village of Xinjie town of Gao'an city, and Yanfang village of Jintan town of Jishui county. The other two are Meibi village of Wenbei town of Qingyuan district of Ji'an city, and Haihui town of Lushan district of Jiujiang city.

The eight selected towns and villages boast a special natural environment, countryside scenery, traditional culture, and special industries. They are outstanding in the development of their tourism industry and improving living environments.
