"Gougunao" Tea Culture Tourism Festival opens in Suichuan

The Second International "Gougunao" Tea Culture Tourism Festival opened in Suichuan county of Ji'an, east China's Jiangxi province on April 19, 2012.

Yao Mugen, vice-governor of Jiangxi province and other leaders attended the opening ceremony. A total of over 8,000 people including entrepreneurs from tea-making enterprises, tea experts, journalists and reporters from news media, visitors and local residents took part in the festival.

"Gougunao" tea is a kind of precious tea produced at the Gougunao mountain in Suichuan county, Jiangxi province. As a renowned specialty of Suichuan, it has a plantation history of over 200 years. The tea features dark green tight tea leaves and is covered with a layer of white tender hair. When the tea is made, the water is golden yellow and its sweet taste lasts a long time.

Yao announced the opening of the tea culture tourism festival.
