Wuyuan as a tourism standardization demonstration county

Wuyuan was awarded as "National Tourism Standardization Demonstration County" at the national tourism standardization working conference on March 26, 2012. The county is one of the first five counties over the country and the only one in Jiangxi province to have won the honorable title given by the National Tourism Administration.

Wuyuan initiated its tourism standardization in 2009 and edged into the first national tourism standardization pilot counties in 2010. Over the past three years, taking "standardizing services, improving quality and creating brands" as its main focus, the county has had over 80 standardization pilot enterprises centering to food, living, transportation, traveling, shopping and entertainment.

As a pilot, the county had already improved its standardization system and enhanced its standardization coverage rate in tourism. It combined local rural tourism with industrial standardization and worked out four local standards. This is a great example of management being in line with systems and working in accordance with procedures and operations for the basis of standards in Wuyuan's tourism industry.
