Nanchang received 978,000 tourists during the Spring Festival

During the Spring Festival golden week, 978,000 tourists came to Nanchang. A total tourism revenue of 478 million yuan ($75.91 million) was received. Folk culture tourism and village leisure tourism were popular among visitors.

Nanchang is a famous historical and cultural city. The Nanchang Folk Custom Museum launched a folk custom exhibition. Tengwang Pavilion organized lantern riddles game. Many visitors came to see and participate in folk custom activities like the Liantang Lion and Dragon Dance, Tacheng Bench Dragon Dance, Jiangxiang River Lanterns and Xiangtang Lantern and Stick Festival.

The one-day tours and short-distance tourist routes are favored by tourists. Various village festival celebration activities attracted large audiences.

The Spring Festival was also a traditional peak season for business sales. Large-sized shopping malls, supermarkets and cinemas in Nanchang saw an increase in consumption. Featured restaurants offering unique New Year’s Eve dinners were in short supply. Hotels in Nanchang and Jinxian counties were almost all occupied due to visits from relatives and friends during the Spring Festival.
