Wuyuan Wanshou Temple opened with new appearance

Wanshou Temple, located on the Damiao Street in Wuyuan county, finished restoration on Jan 15. The inauguration ceremony and the Buddha consecration ceremony were held that day.

Wanshou Temple covers an area of five acres and took two years and 1.78 million yuan to renovate. Wanshou Temple was originally called "Zhilin Temple", founded in AD 875 during the Tang Dynasty (AD618-907) which has a history of over one thousand years. In recent years, with the development of ecological cultural tourism in Wuyuan county, the government has paid more attention to the Buddhist culture. The newly built temple has become the main landmark in Wuyuan county
