Jiangxi unveils top 10 new tourism attractions

The top 10 new tourism scenic spots and top 10 excellent new tourism scenic spots in Jiangxi were announced by the provincial tourism administration at a press conference on Dec13.

West Sea of Lushan Mountain (or Zhelin Lake), Jinggang Mountain, and Dujuan Mountain are now listed among the top 10 new tourism scenic spots. Nanchang Phoenix Valley and Mingyue Mountain Hot Spring Resort are among the 10 excellent new tourism scenic spots.

To improve the popularity and influence of new tourism scenic spots, and elevate their grade and service quality, Jiangxi asked the public to vote for the top 10 new tourism scenic spots in September The public chose from the 74 scenic spots that signed up for the contest. Contestants came from various types of tourism projects, including mountains, lakes, revolutionary culture, hot spring vacation, rural tourism, and theme parks. In the end, 50 eligible candidates got through the preliminary assessment.

The public appraisal attracted a lot of media and public attention. The provincial tourism administration officially released over 1,000 pieces of micro-blog news. Over 200,000 netizens participated in the appraisal through micro-blogging. Ji’an, Jiujiang and Shangrao cities made a series of reports to promote their scenic spots and attract public attention.
