Taiwan China Airlines has announced that flights from Nanchang to Taiwan will be available every day except Sunday, while Taiwan-Jiangxi flights will increase from two to seven per week.

Xu Liye, Nanchang office manager of Taiwan China Airlines, announced on Nov 5 the airline’s addition of Nanchang-Taiwan flights after the success of the first Nanchang-Taipei flight on Nov 1.

By January 2012, Taiwan China Airlines will use the A330 aircraft on the Nanchang - Taipei flight route, which will see passenger seats increased and the ability to transport large air cargo. It will be the first time Nanchang receives large aircraft on the fixed route.

The additional flights have increased the round trip seating capacity from around 600 to 2000. The increase has eased the difficulty in finding available flights and sharply lowered the round trip ticket fare from 4,000 to around 3,000 yuan. The ticket fare decreases overall Taiwan tourism expenses from 8,000 to 6,000 yuan.

"Entering November, the passenger seat occupying rate in each airliner can reach 80-90 percent," Xu said.
